APEX Design, Inc. is a woman owned and operated family machine shop specializing in complex automated precision machining featuring CNC Swiss-type equipment. Our new six and seven axis turning centers feature dual spindles and cross-working live tooling for complex turn-mill applications under 1” or 25 mm in diameter. Our metrology department features RAM Optical video measurement instrumentation with 25x to 185x optics, and our Quality Assurance program follows ISO 9002, Mil-I-45208A and QAP EQ002 Rev. A procedures.

We offer complete turn-key services that meet various AMS, ASTM and military specifications including heat treating, surface finishing, shot peening, non-destructive testing and packaging through our association with NADCAP, aerospace and other qualified suppliers.

The majority of our business is military aerospace requiring detailed process procedures and documentation. For example, we produce F18 turbo fan engine pins and other critical missile components. Our operation is qualified and audited by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for these mission critical components.
